A Lizard Bird Diary: A Study of the Birds of the South Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall
A Lizard Bird Diary is a summary of 45 years of fieldwork on the South Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall, the most southerly point of mainland Britain and presents what is both an historical and contemporary overview of its avifauna 1970-2015, with particular emphasis on migration. The majority of the data has never been previously published and includes numerous records of scarce and rare species. The core of the book is the 270 species accounts. The text is supported by 118 charts and graphs, primarily detailing passage and changes in status, plus maps, photographs and original illustrations with introductory sections on the survey area, methodology, the charts, seabirds and seawatching. Published by the author and printed in a signed, limited edition of 500.

The Birds of the Isles of Scilly
This is an avifauna for the Isles of Scilly - one of the most popular and exciting birding sites in the whole of Britain. The islands' position, out to the south-west of the tip of Cornwall, means that they are often first landfall for the lost migrant birds from both Europe and Asia to the east, and North America to the west. The annual October pilgrimage to Scilly is a fixed point on many birders' calendars, and these tiny islands have hosted a considerable proportion of extreme rarities and firsts for Britain". Scilly also has a small but interesting breeding bird population, including some important seabird colonies. This book discusses in detail the status and distribution, past and present, of every bird recorded on Scilly.

The Isles of Scilly: No. 103
About 30 miles south-west of Land’s End is the low group of rocks and islands that form the Isles of Scilly. Mysterious, romantic and beautiful, they have long exercised the imagination of story tellers and historians.
Rosemary Parslow has spent many years working on the islands, each of which has its own unique character and special plants and animals. In this New Naturalist volume she examines the many aspects that make the islands and their flora and fauna so unique: their geography, geology and climate, the people of the islands, the way they used the land and its present day management.

Jonathan Couch's Cornish Birds
Dr Jonathan Couch (1789-1870) of Polperro was Cornwall's foremost naturalist in the 19th century, whose importance has been likened to Gilbert White. This work draws on the Royal Institution of Cornwall's extensive collection of his material, in particular his hitherto unpublished study of Cornish birds begun in 1829 and his "Journal of Natural History" of which ten of its 12 volumes had been lost for over a century. Roger Penhallurick has also added material from other contemporary sources. His book includes a short biography of Couch and notes of his local contacts and those of national importance such as Thomas Bewick and William Yarrell, both of whom corresponded with Couch. management.
