With some of the finest cliff scenery in Wales, dramatic views of the Pembrokeshire coast from its high hills, and wildlife typical of an offshore island, Ramsey has its own special magic.
There are cliffs that rise up to 120 metres, making them the perfect place for breeding seabirds, flocks of choughs and peregrines, with spectacular views across the Irish Sea.
The characteristic island birds all nest here- auks, kittiwakes, shearwaters, peregrines, choughs, ravens (main picture), lapwings, wheatears and many more. Large numbers of birds, including many unusual species, rest briefly on the island during the spring and autumn migrations.
The largest concentration of Atlantic grey seals in southern Britain give birth to over 400 white coated pups on the shores of Ramsey during the Autumn.
Boat trips are available from nearby St David's.
