The grounds of Scone Palace are one of the UK's best places to find the ever elusive Hawfinch.See youtube videos below.
It is estimated that in Winter there are up to 100 birds at this site with many birds staying on to breed in the many yew trees that are around the grounds along with grest spotted and green woodpecker and also nuthatch (rare in Scotland).
Hawfinch are best located by their 'Tic' call.
